Booking your Bonfire
Looking to have a beach bonfire experience that surpasses your wildest expectations? Look no further than our beach bonfire packages, which include hassle-free setup and breakdown services. Our team will have everything ready to go 30 minutes before your scheduled start time, ensuring that you can start your evening on a high note.
We understand that things don’t always go according to plan, but don’t worry – we’ve got you covered. Our team is flexible and can work with your preferred timing to make sure everything runs smoothly.
However, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone, we do have to enforce an 11:30pm curfew for all bonfires. This gives our team ample time to clean up the beach and prepare it for the next day’s visitors. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep the beach clean and beautiful!
Permits
At ECPR, we know that getting the necessary permits can be a hassle. That’s why our team takes care of all the permit requirements from Walton County and South Walton Fire District. You don’t have to worry about a thing! We do recommend that you plan ahead, as permits can only be purchased within a two-week window before the event.
To ensure that your desired date and location is secured, it’s best to book with us as soon as possible. We strive to get your permit as soon as it’s available, but please keep in mind that permits are subject to availability through the county and may sell out quickly. There are also times when permits may change due to county regulations or turtle nesting. To increase the chances of obtaining your ideal location, we suggest having a first, second and third choice for your bonfire spot, and being open to flexible dates. Let us handle the permit process for you, so you can focus on enjoying your perfect beach bonfire experience!
Reschedule
We understand that schedules can change unexpectedly. If you need to reschedule your beach bonfire, we’ll work with you to find a new date that works for both of us, subject to our availability and permit availability. We recommend planning ahead to secure your preferred date and location, as our bookings tend to fill up quickly.
Please keep in mind that permit availability is limited, and access availability is not guaranteed. Should you need to reschedule, a new permit will need to be purchased, as permits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Inclement Weather / County Issued Burn Bans
We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, which is why we want to work with you to find the best solution possible. While factors such as weather conditions and burn bans can impact the feasibility of your beach bonfire, we’ll do our utmost to make it happen for you.
We realize that rescheduling can be a hassle, so we’ll do our best to be flexible and accommodating to your needs. If rescheduling is necessary due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ll work with you to find a new date that suits you best. Please note that obtaining a new permit is required, as permits are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
Our goal is to provide you with a memorable and enjoyable experience, regardless of any unexpected challenges that may arise. So don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have any concerns or questions – we’re here to help make your beach bonfire dreams a reality!
Turtle Nests
At ECPR, we understand that you’re excited to plan your dream beach bonfire, and we’re here to help make it happen. However, we want to inform you that during turtle nesting season, which takes place from May to October, there may be unexpected changes to your plans due to turtle nests. If a turtle nest is blocking your planned beach access, don’t worry – we’ll work with you to find the next available beach access. While there may be a temporary fee of $125 for a new beach bonfire permit, we’ll do our best to save you any additional permitting fees by seeing if the county will allow us to move the permit without fees.
If you prefer not to select a new access, we’ll choose the next available one and update your reservation accordingly. It’s important to note that if your beach bonfire needs to be moved due to turtle nests, refunds are not granted, but we’ll work with you to ensure that you have the most unforgettable beach bonfire experience possible.
Refunds / Cancellations
Experience peace of mind when booking your beach bonfire with us! We understand that life can be unpredictable, so we’ve created a cancellation policy that covers all scenarios. That way, you can focus on planning your perfect event without any worries.
- If you need to cancel your bonfire anytime before 14 days of the scheduled event, we can offer a full refund.
- For cancellations made between 1-14 days of the event, we can offer a refund equaling 50% of the total amount paid, or a full rental credit minus the $125 Bonfire Permit fee.
- While we’re unable to provide any refunds or rental credit for cancellations made within 24 hours, we’ll do our best to work with you on rescheduling.
We know that weather can be unpredictable too, which is why we reserve the right to cancel your event in the event of unfavorable conditions or Walton County burn bans. But don’t worry – we’ll do everything we can to make sure your experience is still unforgettable. If we have to cancel, we’ll reach out to you on the day of the event to discuss rescheduling options. If rescheduling isn’t possible, we’ll provide you with a full refund minus the $125 Bonfire Permit fee.
Private Accesses
We understand that having a private beachfront bonfire is a unique and exclusive experience. To ensure that you have the best experience possible, we charge a convenience fee of $50 for our extra time and resources required for set up and cleanup. Rest assured that this fee helps us provide you with exceptional service that goes beyond your expectations.
At ECPR, we follow all county regulations to ensure your safety. Flames from fire pits and tiki torches must be kept at a safe distance of 50 feet from the dunes, and private accesses are no exception. Our team of experts will take care of everything for you, so you can relax and enjoy your private beachfront bonfire.
In the unlikely event that the beach is eroded, and we can’t set up the bonfire on your private beach, we’ll work with you to secure the next available public beach access. Please note that obtaining a new permit is required, as permits are nonrefundable and nontransferable. However, if you prefer to cancel the bonfire altogether, we’ll issue a refund equaling 50% of the total paid.
Special Events Permit
We understand that planning a party can be a hassle, especially when it comes to ensuring all the necessary permits are in place. Our team is here to make the process as smooth as possible for you, so you can focus on enjoying your event.
Please note that South Walton County requires additional permitting for parties with 30 or more people, including children. This “Special Event” Permit fee and processing is non-refundable or transferable, rain or shine. We want to ensure that your event goes ahead as planned, so it’s important to obtain this permit beforehand.
South Walton Fire District only issues ONE special event permit per night, per access, so they are not always guaranteed. In the event that a permit is not available for your preferred access, we will provide you with alternate options and/or dates, so you can still enjoy your party.
The special event permit pricing is as follows:
- 31-50 people – $250
- 51-75 people – $500
- 76+ people – $1000
We understand that guest lists can change, so if your party grows in size AFTER you have booked and paid, we will have to add a special event permit to your reservation. We will send you an invoice for the additional charges and submit the permit request. If the permit is unavailable for purchase, we will go over additional location and/or date options with you.
It’s important to note that if your party has over 30 people and you fail to correctly notify us, we reserve the right to refuse service, even on the same day. No refunds will be issued in this circumstance.
Holidays
We want to make sure that you have an unforgettable beach bonfire experience, especially during the holidays. We do book bonfires on all major holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. However, we want to be upfront with you and let you know that bonfires are not permitted on July 4th due to fire department regulations. On other holidays, we give our team members the choice to work or enjoy the holiday with friends and family. This means that we may have limited locations and staffing options. To ensure that we can provide you with the best possible service, we charge a $100 HOLIDAY FEE for ALL fires booked on ACTUAL HOLIDAYS. This fee is a token of appreciation for your attendant who will be working on the holiday, ensuring that you have a fantastic time with your loved ones. We know that holidays can be expensive, so we want to make sure that there are no surprises with the fee.
Gratuity
At ECPR, we value our clients and believe that gratuity is a personal choice that reflects your satisfaction with the service provided by our attendants.
If you choose to tip, we offer the convenience of using Venmo that is attendant specific or providing cash on-site the night of your fire. It is important to note that 100% of all gratuities go directly to your attendant, as we recognize the hard work and dedication that they provide.
We want to thank you for choosing ECPR, and we hope that your experience with us is exceptional. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Frequently asked questions
Yes, you can absolutely bring your own food and drinks to the beach bonfire! However, please keep in mind that glass containers are not allowed, and any leftover items must be removed at the end of the bonfire. We kindly ask that you place all trash in the appropriate containers provided at the beach.
Restrooms and parking are important considerations when planning a beach bonfire. You’ll be pleased to know that all of the beach access sites listed on our website have restrooms and parking available, so you won’t have to worry about that.
If you’re unsure of where you can have your beach bonfire, no worries! Check out the Beach Bonfire Service Area on our website to view the available beaches. If you’re still unsure which beach is closest to you, don’t hesitate to ask us for help. We are here to assist you and make your experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
We know the weather can be unpredictable, so if your bonfire gets rained out, you can certainly reschedule it. We understand that situations like this can be frustrating, but we are here to assist you in any way possible and ensure that you still have an amazing beach bonfire experience.
The start time for your beach bonfire is completely up to you! Some people prefer to begin their bonfire just before sunset to enjoy the beautiful colors of the sky as the sun sets, while others prefer to wait until it’s completely dark to get the full effect of the fire. To check the sunset time in your area, simply click here. Keep in mind that it typically gets dark about an hour after sunset.
We ask customers to choose their top three location choices when booking a beach bonfire because there are limited permits available at each location. If we cannot obtain a permit at your first choice, we will automatically attempt to secure a permit at your next preferred location. This helps us to ensure that you get the best location possible for your beach bonfire.
If you’re planning to have more than 29 guests at your beach bonfire, you will need to comply with special event permit requirements set forth by Walton County. Don’t worry, we’re here to help you navigate through the process. Simply let us know, and we’ll walk you through the steps to ensure your beach bonfire is compliant and enjoyable for everyone.
